Porting Headers??
I've heard this mentioned on a recent thread as an alternative to new EL headers. What is it? How does it compare to EL headers? Who does it?
Any advice apprediated?

Porting just means enlarging and polishing the internal surfaces of the standard Subaru unequal length cast headers to optimise the gasflow through them.
It's obviously cheaper than splashing out on an expensive set of tubular headers. and retains the Subaru engine note, but doesn't have the gains in turbo efficiency that a properly matched set of equal length headers should provide.
As for who does it, you can do it yourself with a Dremel and a couple of good tungsten carbide cutters.
