Smile Yet another exhaust question....

I've got a standard MY02 WRX with downpipe de-cat and STi back box. A friend's UK300 with PPP sounds superb and was wondering if it's possible to get that sound without doing the PPP (new sprog = not flush)? I am hoping that I can swap the back box only to do this. Do boxes like the Afterburner give that kind of sound or is it more like a drone?

:-)

Most aftermarket back boxes will give this kind of noise, however the PPP does sound a little different to most I've heard and tried, (I tried 3 others before settling on the PPP back box on my MY98).

Also the PPP is probably one of the quietest, however I find this is only when pottering about at small throttle openings. Floor it and it seems about as loud as any other I've heard.

I'm running full decat (H&S downpipe) but with PPP centre section as well to help keep the volume down as I have a wagon which can boom a little inside. However not with the setup I have Quiet when cruising, loud when playing
