Hi all,

Obviously I am no mechanic.......but why on service schedules etc I only see that they change the oil on the rear diff ? Isn't there a front gear box / diff as well between the front drive shafts ?

What?
You should change both front diff/gear box(same case) and rear diff oils on scheduled services, I can't see one reason why they changed you only the rear!

Ray: On the service schedule, did you see a comment about changing the "gearbox oil"? If so, on a manual car, the front diff uses the same oil supply as the gearbox, so even though the front diff isn't mentioned specifically, provided the mail gearbox oil would have been changed, so would the front diff's...

 

Thanks guys....now I understand....the gear box and front diff all contained in one makes sense, so gear box oil and rear diff oil and all sorted
