Why only change rear diff oil vs. changing front ?
Hi all,
Obviously I am no mechanic.......but why on service schedules etc I only see that they change the oil on the rear diff ? Isn't there a front gear box / diff as well between the front drive shafts ?

Think you might have missed his point Jim.
Ray: On the service schedule, did you see a comment about changing the "gearbox oil"? If so, on a manual car, the front diff uses the same oil supply as the gearbox, so even though the front diff isn't mentioned specifically, provided the mail gearbox oil would have been changed, so would the front diff's...
