Hurrah! Someone else with the same problem. Sorry, that sounds nasty but I am glad I ain't the only one with this.
Mines back to the dealer today (hopefully) so that they can try and reproduce and fix.
Will keep you posted of any results.
Oh, and I started a thread in General after getting no results in this forum. New thread is called Please Help!
Mines a MY00 too

I was wondering if the pedal was falling off.
Yeah, I know, stop being stupid.
But having read the thread somewhere on 'help help power has disappeared' & it turned out to be the carpet under the pedals, you never know...
Mine does it too, by the way - started doing it shortly after the bolts in the back on the pedal started getting stuck in the carpet & I hacked the end bits off - and no, I haven't looked at the pedals - it's dark out there

Typical! I'll let you know the outcome of mine. Feel free to quote me and my dealer if and when I get a solution. Yours can always ring up then, discuss it, and sort it out for you.
The service guy who checked mine played about with the pedal a bit, both pulling and pushing and got it to do it a couple of times.
Chin up folks, we'll get it sorted

Re - my previous posting "Armed with a torch and mirror" etc I had a look and its the yolk on the rod that goes to the master cylinder moving minutely sideways on the pedal arm when the pedal is finally released. A blob of grease around it has provided a temporary cure until I can suss how to limit the movement.
I have a feeling that, from most of the postings, that the "clicking" that most people are getting is louder and in a different part of the pedal movement? but if the above is of any assistance give it a try!

I dunno whether it's fixed for good, but I looked under the dash today and found that there is a clevis pin that was very dry, ie no grease, so I greased it and then slid it back and forth a few times so that the grease got where it needed to be, went for a drive and no click, unyet yesterday it was doing it loads.
Fingers crossed eh!

Gents, my wonderful dealer, Beechdale in Nottingham, replaced all the bushes and the spring on my clutch pedal.
It hasn't clicked since (would usually do it at least once a day). I know it's a short time since they did it (about 2 days) but the whole clutch pedal feels like a new beast!
Even before they could reproduce it, they said if I wasn't happy with it, they will replace the bushes anyway. Seems to do the trick.
Get down to your dealer and give them a thrashing

Mines really started to pi55 me off now...
And if thats not enough the car has developed an even more annoying
high pitched squeaking noise, coming from the running gear somewhere...ahh well book it in again today then
I'll keep the post going as to what they do..

Mine is doing it too, when I depress the pedal, I get like a series of small clicks / rubbing noise, it seems to only do it when I am accelerating thru the gears as opposed to just cruising around town...is this the same thing you guys had, as it's going to the dealers on saturday, so any thoughts are very welcome!!!
Thanks

Mine seemed to only do it whilst on the move initially. Then it started doing it when just parked up (this was about 3 months from when it first started).
Still haven't had a click from the pedal yet so the change of spring and bushes seems to have done the job (so far )
I get a rubbing noise still (thanks for pointing this out Pete ) by raising and lowering the clutch very slowly. Under normal driving it is OK, unless trying to balance where you move it small amounts and start to get the creaking.

Well mine went in last Thursday for the clicking, poor idle and squeaking...Picked it up that night, yup still clicking, still poor idle and still squeaks
They fitted a clutch pedal mod kit?? Stops something hitting the bulkhead so I was told, still does it though...my pedal seems to click before the clutch engages even..like the first 1/4" movement before the full mechanism starts to move..is this the same as you guys are having?

I thought I had cured mine by greasing it, but, it started doing it again, there is a spring which goes 'over centre' when you touch the pedal, my thoughts now are that it's something to do with that, when I get a chance to take it apart and take a look, I'll let you know what I find, if anything!

Ron, did you get this fixed?
Mine was in today for 60K service and I mentioned the clunk I get from my clutch pedal (sometimes several times a journey).
Dealer (Lancaster Pangbourne) service guy - Conrad - says "ah - might be a loose pedal box, we've seen that before". Correct - bolts holding the pedal box assembly were loose! Driving home tonight, no clunk. Yippee!
We'll see if it lasts!
Cheers,
Steve
