Hi
Has anyone fitted the WR sports silencer? I have a bog standard 03 WRX and the exhaust is a bit too quite, it also makes a bit of a whistling sound when you blip the gas.
Are they worth the £350.00 price tag, also does it cost extra to have it fitted.
I want one of these as the car is still under warranty.

I've got the PPP backbox which is the same but with round tailpipe rather than oval. Sound is a vast improvement over the standard WRX one.

You will not void your warranty because it is a Subaru part. Fitting is very easy, 2 14mm bolts hold backbox to main pipe, 14mm bolt at rear hanger and some rubber hangers to prise off. Easily DIY in less than 30 minutes.

After a slight bump on the rear, had a WR box on because the dealer couldn't get a PPP box. Quite a nice sound under hard acceleration, but apart from that, no difference in normal running sound.

AFTER ABOUT 3 MONTHS IT WAS RUSTY, so I can say the quality is c**p.

Now the Magnex 6 x 4 oval I put on lastnight, (about half hour) sounds alot better.

I had WR Sport BB fitted on my MY02 WRX from new and it's still 100% pukka. The sounds is a lot better than the standard one

Does anyone else’s standard pipe make the whistling/squeaking noise??

I have a WR Sport backbox in v.good order from my WRX MY01 for sale at £150 if you are interested. I am however, assuming it will fit the 03 model.
If interested let me know.
