I know there have been several threads regarding this problem already, I just wondered if a fix has been made available yet or are we expected to live with it?

hi Usually it takes the form of a restrictor
in the waste gate control valve piping.
stops the ECU fuel cutting cos of overboost condition. should still be in warrantee.

If you had the problem you would know.

As most garages say: 'What problem?' or 'They all do tat sir'.

and my MY99 does have the problem that does not exist, if you know what I mean.

Len, I think your are getting confused between overboost fuel cut and the hesitation under gentle acceleration that plagues the MY99/00. The hesitation should be felt when the car is cold and you try to make smooth progress under gentle acceleration, going uphill when cold can also show up the problem. I don't know of any fix for this except replacement of the ECU with a Link or such like...........
