Any body any ideas? It has settings from 1000 to 12000 and I have no idea where to set it to.

It is supposed to raise the overboost fuel cut point, but I can't work it out.

Cheers

Rich

Thanks a lot Andy,

their site makes no mention of where to set the dial from 1 to 12 (not 1000 to 12000 as I originally said) for a Subaru.

It mentions other cars with FCD channel nos. but doesn't relate them to the dial settings.

I've phoned a leading HKS dealer (Torque Developments) and they hadn't a bloody clue, although they tried to blag me that they did.

Aha!! cracked it. JUST got a call back from HKS. Apparently 12 is "as standard" and you move the setting lower and lower until you are happy. But they stressed not to go above 1.2 bar.

They were very nice and very helpful too. Unlike the dealer I spoke to.

Thanks again for that web info Andy.

Hello,
I'm a french guy. I have an HKS FCD on my WRX2001 (with a boostcontroller and an AFR).

First of all, the FCD doesn't raise the boost pressure. You have to use another system to boost the pressure (a BoostController like TurboXS's one :

Thanks for your help Mon Ami

I do have a bleedvalve actually, but didn't mention it (a Turbosmart one).

That's interesting about each division measuring 1psi. Mine is currently set to 1 and I appear to be getting some fuel cut around the 1.25 bar mark. Could this be something else?

Maybe blowing out the spark or fuel supply struggling to keep up. I have an air/fuel ratio meter and it's reading rich on full boost, but should I up the fuel pressure a bit with a boost valve or similar?

Cheers

Rich
