STi Fuel Pump noise??

I have a strange noise comming from what seems like the rear of my
STi everytime b4 i start. When cold it sounds like its the fuel pump
priming up for a few seconds then it stops and i start the car. When
the car is hot however this fuel pump noise sounds terribly irregular
and loud. The only think i can liken it to is a Cappucino
machine....Anyone else have this?...Is my pump going to pack it
in?....
