*Group Buy Afterburner Votex...Updated List*
As i can't access the most recent posts to the Afterburner Vortex Group Buy...(maybe someone can tell me where i'm going wrong?) and we seem to have lost a whole page of threads on this new layout, I have started a new thread with the most upto date list of those in the group buy.
Also i'm being swamped by emails for the discounted price and can't access the names of those who posted for price details on Sunday and Monday, so for simplicity and to save time i will post it here.
The Angled exit Afterburner Vortex will be supplied at £250 if we have 10 people in the group buy. This price includes the Vat, but P&P will be £20 unless collected from Scoobyworld or Hayward and Scott in Basildon. If collected from H&S they will fit it for free.
If you require a straight exit Vortex the cost will be an extra £20.
Group buy list Tues:
1.Pappasmurf
2.TomDibs
3.Elgordano
4.STE L
5.Maddog
6.T-1000
Add your name to the list if you want to join the group buy.

Hi Stonkin,
When we have got 10 names down on the list, those on the list can ring Scoobyworld and order there Vortex. Paying by credit card or i presume sending a cheque if you prefer ( which would have to clear )
So we don't order or pay for anything until we have 10 names in the group buy.
Go on, put your name down... you know you want one!

hi guys
i'm interested in changing the exhaust on my car and live near enough to basildon to get it fitted for free.
problem is i've got a 2litre sport and don't want to go knockin walls down with the exhaust. excuse my naiveity but is the afterburner vortex goin to be quieter on a sport than a turbo, has anyone got an afterburner on a sport
or isn't this the done thing
PS don't hate me cos i aint a turbo:0

Hi reas334,
Sports are great motors and no one will knock them on here.
As far as i'm aware the Impreza sport has unequal length headers even though it doesn't have a turbo. Therefore, it will sound the same with that lovely deep scooby burble but without the turbo spoil up sound. The sports i've heared sound just as good.
Give Scoobyworld a ring...they are very helpful...and can advise better then me on how loud the Vortex will be on your sport.
I think it will sound fantastic as well as look good.

Very interested in the Afterburner ... Could someone please explain the difference between the Angled Exit and the Straight Exit. Any Pictures to show the difference would be great.
Once happy, I'll add my name to the list.
Cheers

Hi PC555,
The angled exit Vortex has no bend in the pipe work...sort of follows a striaght line out from the centre section. This allows for gases to exit the exhaust more quickly and freely. It means the tail pipe comes out at an angle from the back. The straight exit has a bend in the pipe work going into the baffle section (the barrel bit) causing the gases to exit less effectively. It means the tail pipe comes straight out from the back (like any standard exhaust).
There is a picture of the angled exit Vortex on Midland123's Sti in the 'gallery' section of SN.
You can also take a look at Scoobyworlds web site...follow Neils link in his thread above this one or give him a call.

T-1000...and everyone else,
I will ring Scoobyworld and speak to Neil or Wendy this morning and see what the situation is and how we proceed if we are one or two short of ten in the group buy.
I don't think anybody is going to turn away £2000 of business...i hope

To all in the group buy,
As long as nobody drops out at this late stage, I would suggest we bring this group buy to a close today, and we will honour our group buy pricing (we are only 2 short afterall).
Pappasmurf - if you could contact us on the usual number we'll put the wheels in motion.
cheers
Neil

Hi GaryUK,
It's the angled exit vortex that is £280. The group buy price is a saving of £30 (£250). The straight exit Vortex cost £20 more.
If you want one you had better hurry!
