What turbo do you have???

My understanding is that you get *better* performance blanking it off altogether, but it does stress the turbo, as a consequence a 360deg bearing is a must... IHI tubos are the ones to get I understand.

Cheers...

Question

Hello all

I have posted on here before about my dump valve.
I believe it is making a groaning noise and only does it from 3,000 revs onwards and is intermittent.
How do I test it or check it. I took it out and cleaned it with WD40 and made no difference. In fact it is worst. Is there a way of blocking it off and eliminating it.
What causes the dump valve to go faulty ??

My car is a 97 Impreza Catalunya model.

Cheers lads

Gary
