colour of spark plugs

what colour should the plugs be ,mine are black on the outside with dark red core does octane booster make it go a redish colour and is this ok . thanx (93 wrx)

Mark, thats the sign of octain ok. Red/orange is normal.

Mine out of my MY00....after 15000 miles (from new if that makes any difference)

Replaced them with DENSO's....and been very pleased to date.
