Over the last few months, I have read many conflicting threadsabout ECU's, the resetting of, and other stuff.
Could a few of you answer me these questions, preferably if you "have been there"
I have a MY00 6 mths old from new 12,000 miles under the wheels.
I'm gonna fill up with the new Shell Optimax fuel and want to make sure that i'm getting the best outta me car.
1) Do the MY00 Ecu's need resetting?
2) Do Ecu's "remember" the lowest RON you have used and retard accordingly, even if you subsequently use a higher RON?
3) I want someone to say, "Don't worry about resets, just fill her up and the Ecu will sort itself out" Is this the case?
4) Some people say the difference is noticable straight away, others say 1-3 tankfulls! well?
5) Does the ECU in a MY00 advance quickly?
Cheers Dudes, you'll either clear this up for me or confuse me to death
