Cool

Getting a Magnex BB and centre very soon and don't know whether to get one with a resonator or a straight through ??

Has anyone tried/heard them both ?? is the straight through a lot louder than the resonated one ??, I don't want a huge ammount of noise for long journeys.

Thumbs up

Stuart,

I've been in salsa-king's car with both the centre sections fitted to a Magnex backbox.

The one with resonator will sound exactly the same as the standard centre section.

The one without resonator has a deeper rumble at tickover, is louder at full throttle and pops a little on the overrun. I wouldn't say it was a lot different on light too medium throttle when cruising and is not at all boomy.

Hope this helps.

You heard mine, with the resonator @ golden wheels, if you need to hear it again, give me a shout.
But, as far as I know, Magnex no longer supply the straight through center section, I tried to get one and was told it was no longer available because of the noise.

Cool

Ken, I could not remember whether your one had a resonator or not, but It did sound good.

As Lee says, Roadrunner apparently have loads of the straight through ones on the shelf.
