Think you mean MAP (Mainfold Absolute Pressure) sensor. As for location ???

I think it is Mass Air Flow and it does just that! it is located just after the air filter box.

Jon is right

It's the expensive meter that is creamed when you fit a none standard filter and coat with to much oil on the wrong side

So be carefull

ACHTUNG,

some dealers try to sell you a new one (£300) saying it's broken.

Sometimes, the MAF is only dirt with oil filter : you can clean it yourself with caution, thus saving hard earned bucks !
