Question

Got the car back from Glenburgie yesterday excellent work on their part.

Car is now scary, making 1 bar and feeling very different to when I got it..

Came out of a 30 zone late last night - for reasons wont go into was trying to get a 5 th - 3rd take off..

Into 3rd and it basically went to 5k rpm slipping straight away then the same in 4th. Backed off straight away into 5th then tried it again about 1 min later 5th - 3rd, took off like a scalded cat and showed no signs of stress afterwards.

Car was pretty cold didnt have its usual full warm up which I am religous about - water temp was ok tho.

Clutch is juddery now but no slipping on power

Is it new clutch on the way time or simply that it didnt get a chance to warm and slipped that once ?

im not sure if this is correct but its what i kinda belive

if i potter about in the car for a while, i find when i goto elvington or such and do my first run, the clutch slips

after the first few runs are over it wont slip for the rest of the day

iether that or its just random and theres no pattern

Funny reading through ur experience,

I had a 150 mile run in the scoob today and other than the odd "normal" judder it seemed to clear up over the day.

Even had a encounter with a new STI at full whack over a steep long bridge and it held..

So in conclusion, like all other scoob related things, stop worrying about it until it goes !

ive scince done 50/60 drag runs and its still there, when i bought my coilovers (from the importer who sold me my car) he asked me "hows the clutch?" becauase it had slipped for him

ive put about 14k miles on it scince i bought it last year and its still going strong lol
