MY 99' uk turbo missfiring under load, poor if any idle and smells rich when idling when cold (idle cold not when hot)
could it be the lambda sensor?
I have Just bought the car which was not a runner at the time and the battery has been disconnected for some time.

try disconnecting the Lambda as the car will run with it un-connected. This will isolate the Lambda sensor if it is giving a false reading.
