another oil issue

ive been using 10/40 semi synthetic oil for 2yrs(25,000 mls appr)
ran fine definately not as noisy as fully synthetic which i used before.what amazes me with the oil issue is that the same people
reccommend fully synthetic and still blow bottom ends.
i decided to put slick 50 in my engine followed by 15\40 mineral oil.the cars performance is superb no more crude engines noises either.i took this advice from the subaru car manual.also had a long chat with subaru uk technical department birmingham.who also reccomend mineral oil. i have now had 4 oil changes no problems it is reccomended to change the oil and filter at every 2500 mls.
my point is my car is definately quicker smoother quieter and uses less petrol.so why are we not taking advice from the people who make the car.my94 wrx
