I'm trying to locate STi gearbox in Japan. Can anybody help with the identificaton of the 6 speed MT. The supplier has asked for more details

A JDM STi 7 uses transmission type TY856 WB1CA another code for an STi wagon JDM again is TY856 WB1AA.

Does that help - I can probably get the chassis number of the car for the later wagon number if that will also help.

Those numbers I list above are GDB car. Does that do it for you?

I came up with the same number as David API

TY856WB1AA from my S/H 6 speed transmission.

I forgot to say earlier that my transmission below.....

I came up with the same number as David API

TY856WB1AA from my S/H 6 speed transmission.
Is what David said came from an JDM STi wagon, mine didnt, came from a blue JDM STi 7 WRX V Limited not a wagon????
