We do get the same problem over here, when the cats are removed.
The problem only occurs when the car is used on cruise (light engine load, 50-70 mph).
We've been working on a fix, but it has proved more difficult to erradicate than we expected. Final testing of the latest solution is in progress.

hello to WHEELS and Mr CRONEY.
Here in France, we have the same problems with decatted WRX MY01. Some mate are driving for months with the check engine light on.
The downpipes are from differents manufacturers (MADAC, Devil, Supersprint, EFJIE, etc...)
It seems that the only way to have no C.E. is to go for a sport cat.
Some people say that with Unleaded 95, there's less problems.
Time will see, but we all pray that there will be not severe injury during the time the C.E. will be on.
Mr. Pete, is it possible to put a sport cat between your DP and center section ?
We are several people who would like to cross the Channel to solve this problem.
