Morning all,

Im just about to have a Magnex Downpipe fitted tomorrow to compliment the rest of the system, so I'm going to book in for a rolling road session to get an idea of torque and BHP. Eclipse motorsport (rally peeps) are 5 mins away so its ideal.

Questions are:

Typically, how much does this cost?

How many runs is normal?

Is it healthy and should I keep the bonnet open? I'm sure they will know but worth asking.

Thanks!

Only ever used Powerstation, so answers might notbe exactly the same. but here goes:

-£35;
-2, one to set up the parameters (I think) and one to get the actaul reading;
-Yes fine, they'll open the bonnet and put a fan into the engine bay to cool - they might even spray water into the intercooler.

Have fun
Matt

PE I was charged £30 last time, but £40 the time before that.
PS Was a bit cheaper but both companies were under £40.
PE have your bonnet down with one or two fans blowing in from the front of the car.
PS have bonnet up and fan blowing into the intercooler.
Waterspray is sometimes used by both comanies.
I see inlet temps of 65+ deg but the inlet temps drop very quickly again.

I used to have my old racey Mini rollin roaded regularly, it used to scare the livin poo out of me, all that noise and the damn thing ain't goin anywhere!
I seem to remember the car being on the rollers for an hour at a time, mind you, it had carbs to set up, the tyres take a bit of a pounding too, due to having two contact patches.
What time are you on the rollers, if it's late afternoon, I might come along!
Enjoy
Ron
ps, you have mail!

Thanks guys, much apreciated.

I have booked in Friday the 6th and they are going to fit the DP for me! That way I can get some before and after figures and overlay them on the graphs.

£60 + vat and £40 to fit the pipe so £100 ish is not too bad I suppose. Will post the figures next week!
