Anybody know if changing to an after market back box and a decat center section will give the car any problems? Already got a Scoobysport B/B but am just wondering if there would be any probs changing the center section. Car is MY99

no probs, i did the same to a my97 and a p1 but then added the downpipe as well, the my97 passed its mot with only the original downpipe in place too

Mark, Do you get any "Check Engine" warning lights or anything like that? Im guessing i wont need a remap as i will not be doing the downpipe...yet!

no probs with check light on MY99. I am running straight thru centre and prodrive or scoobysport backbox (Switch them about)with no problems on my MY99.

Exhaust is ok even with a full decat i.e. downpipe too and ECU fuels enough.

no, didnt get anything like that , i think the check engine light situation is on the my01 on cars, i didnt bother getting either remapped but if i still had the p1 now i would have got that done, a decat centre and back box is similar to the ppp without the ecu for your age scoob
