Question

Hi,

In short, how can I convince my dealer that I have clutch judder. The car is an MY98 with 42k on it, has been juddery since around 34k. I reported it but got the 'oh they all do that, it's a powerful car' response.

Problem is that it's a pain. It only happens in first/second when the engines cold and there is no clutch slip or anything in any gear.

The dealer is based near Hedge End in Hampshire, has anyone else got them to look at this problem seriously?

Laurence

I'm faced with the same problem with the same dealer... but have the option of trying dealers in Nottingham and Derby too, but I'd rather not have to.

Anyone had any luck with said unnamed dealer :-) ?

Simon.

Simon,

If you're going to hijack my thread, sort your smilies out

Seriously though, if you have clutch judder and piston slap with the potential for me to have both maybe we should contact them mob-handed. My 45k service is on 13/7 if you want to come along for a 'chat'.

Edited for severe grammatical error.

Laurence
