2nd hand PPP for MY00?
#1
I am think about trying to get a secondhand PPP for my MY00 UK turbo. Is there some way of telling if I am being offered the correctly match PPP i.e. Is there a number on the ECU which tell me which MY it is for?
Also they normally come fitted by the dealer. I believe the dealer then issues a certificate? Would my dealer be able to certify a secondhand PPP?
Thanks in anticipation,
Simon.

You won't benefit from the PPP car's theoretically better residuals if you buy a secondhand ECU Brooks. You'll also invalidate any factory warranty remaining, and may invalidate any third party warranty.
Your dealer won't certify a secondhand PPP, and also don't forget that it's not just the ECU, the pack for the MY00 cars was, IIRC, the ECU, partial exhaust change and a Samco turbo to intercooler Y-pipe.
As Brun suggests, you'd almost certainly be better served by an alternative solution like a TeK2 or 3.
