... i thought i'd fit a replacement filter (k&n or similar) and a ss backbox to my MY01.
is there any reason why these mods should detract from the ppp when its fitted (i know they'll change the box but i assume i can switch it back easy enough)

also do these mods alone make much difference to a std car and will they improve on the ppp?

As a side issue, I thought they will only fit a PPP to a standard car!

By all means get them, but you'll have to remove them for the PPP fitting.

I know this was true for the older cars, but not sure if that applies to the new MY01's.

I don't know if it will make a great difference! Sorry!

I have had a WR Sport back box fitted and been told by a dealer that it adds 15 bhp, add this to running on SUL and you could POTENTIALLY be looking at 240 + bhp ???

Sounds a little bit optimistic!! It definately SOUNDS 15bhp more!!!

I agree - you need to loose the mods or Prodrive send the car back un-PPP'd!!!!

taking the mods off should be easy ennough prior to ppp (although if prodrive replace the backbox they should be able to takee the ss one of themselves)

but will those changes be compatable with the ppp when i put them back or even worth it?

dont want to be stuck with a ss backbox because the ppp one is better.
