Ok guys,

Before I got to know the search facility really well, on advice from a mechanic who works on imports I used the slick50 treatment (yes I know)

I put it through the engine and the gearbox.

Now I havent noticed a difference in the engine, still got a tapping noise from somewhere - which keeps going everytime I take it to the dealer, but didnt expect it to go anyway.

It made a huge difference to my gearbox, alot smoother and easier to select gears.

Now I read that its Cr$p and the root of evil itself. Should I simply change the oils as its only been in a couple of hundred miles ?

Or is it ok to rest easy for 1000 miles until my next (3000 mile) oil change ?

Or does it need a full flush...and the mantra...ask before u buy...ask before u buy..etc.
