94 WRX.

I was getting the usual "overboost" probs so I tried cleaning the control solenoid. I must have knocked it around too much or something, cos the engine check light came on and told me the solenoid was faulty.

I've fitted a new solenoid but the ECU is still detecting a problem!

Any ideas why?

I reset the ECU (disconnected the battery) restarted the engine, the light came back on after 1min or so of idling.

Any suggestions welcomed, as until I sort this out, I can't diagnose the overboost problems!?!?!
