can u clean the maf unit or do you have replace it

I cleaned mine with a tin of brake cleaner and dried it with a blow off gun, I was having real problems with idle. MY00
Done it about a week ago, and have had no problems since. Done over a 1000 miles, so looking good.
The MAF is on the pipe from the airbox, its easy to find, its the only thing with wires connected coming from the pipe out of the airbox. You will need a TX20 bit to undo the screws holding it in, or thats the way on a MY00.

If it aint broke don't fix it, if it is replace it. IMHO.

I had 3go on me, if i did clean them it would only be as a get home measure. They're a bit fragile for my liking.
