front driveshaft play

how much play should you have on a my00 front drive shaft caming from the gearbox it seems to move up and down and in and out a fair bit, the car has done 33k now

They are only held on with roll Pins, So can be quite sloppy, Nothing to worry about ..

Mine (MY96) have plenty of play as you describe. It doesn't seem to suffer to any great degree.

Added: There's no "turning" play though!
