Just fitted a ScoobySport full system on to my 94 WRX. I had an HKS drainpipe before. New exhaust sounds much better, a deeper and fuller note and a bit louder. Sounds awesome under load and can hear the turbo spinning!

I did some straight line tests with each exhaust - 2 runs and averaged it. Make of it what you will!! (all tests over 70mph were done on my private estate....)

30-70 (3rd) HKS 8.0 S/S 7.1
50-70 (5th) HKS 9.8 S/S 8.5
40-80 (4th) HKS 10.9 S/S 9.4

30-70 (thru gears) HKS 5.8 S/S 5.6
30-100 HKS 11.9 S/S 9.5
0-100 HKS 14.7 S/S 12.3

I reckon that's a 10% increase in performance. (especially torque)

I cant believe these figures, unless there was a problem with the HKS!

Both done early evening, slightly damp. Had 1/4 tank for the HKS, 3/4 for S/S. Same stretch of road.

They figures do seem too different, but that's what I got. They're not 100% accurate, done with a stopwatch and looking at the speedo.

HKS was quite old, with a few patched up bits but wasn't blowing.

Are you comparing like with like....?

You say HKS drainpipe - did this include the downpipe?

Your Scoobysport full system (which includes downpipe) would outperform HKS with original d/p.

Just a point of clarification as other testers do not get the same results as you!

HKS goes better when it has a downpipe.
Looks better too.

But like all things in life, its personal preference
