Whats safe and whats not?

Having a hks boost controller and unichip installed on Thursday. As I only have a UK spec MY00 turbo. Could somebody give me advice on what is a safe boost level to run.
I know the hks has two memories and a scramble button, so what should I ask these too be set at.
Any help much appreciated.
