will the gearbox withdraw without removing the downpipe turbo flange bolts are seized and i have no heat available and i am in the middle of the job

it is possible so i have heard from less concious subaru technicians but it involves using a long bar. when i do a clutch on a turbo i find that it's usually the top 2 bolts on the turbo that seize so i end up shearing them and replacing them.
