Centre diff on STI IV - 4 door
#1
Hi guys...
Before I ripped my tranny to bits and find out for myself...
What type is the centre diff on an STI IV - 4 door ?
If its a VC type, what is its rating ? (kg will do)
Anyone know what sort of power it can handle ?
Cheers,
J.

Would the aftermarket STI heavy duty centre VC unit suffice for your car?
It may be worth asking Quaife if they have considered adapting an ATB for the centre diff... I know they do produce entire 4wd transmissions with 3 ATBs for other applications, maybe this centre unit could be adapted to keep you on the road?

I have a few choices...
Either mechanical centre diff...
a 20Kg VC uprated diff
The mech one is about twice the price of the VC one (twice the price of quaife ATB too)
