Daylight through ITG Panel Filter
#1
Took the ITG filter out today on 2 month old P1 to see how it was coping with bugs & stuff.
When it's held up to the light I can see small air gaps dotted randomly in the foam structure - doesn't look like it's a fault, just a bit gappy.
Is this OK & can it still filter out particles down to 10 micron ?

It can still filter out 10 micron particles, because the air swirls through the bubbles in the foam and this spins the dust out against the polymer coated structure. The dust sticks to the polymer and the air carries on through

Thanks Pete,
I put back the standard filter as an experiment & the car seemed slightly more reluctant to pull as hard. The ITG then went back in & the thing pulled well again.
Glad about the 10 micron filtering then. How do ya, clean them ?
Cheers
