Need help identifying mod parts....
#1
Hi,
I'm picking up my00 next week from my local main dealer. Its had a few mods, new back box, couldnt see any manufacturer stamps on it, mim 17" wheels and I noticed under the bonnet the air box kinda had a silver mesh cover on with a dyno tuned plate on it..
Anyone know what this is?
Is it standard?
How can I find out what exhaust it is? Its
quite loud a real deep burble, stainless with a 3" pipe.
Thankx

Do you mean Airbox or Intercooler (large box under the bonnet scoop)?
Sounds like an intercooler shield to me, these are an add on designed to stop things entering the scoop from bending the intercooler fins.
Bearing this in mind, coupled with the back box and the Mims, sounds like the cars been to Scoobysport.
Why not give them a ring? They might know the car.
James.

I would be concerned if the sticker says Dyno Tuned by Power Engineering or something similar... it might indicate that the car has a Power Engineering Phase One conversion on it's ECU. I would investigate this and make sure that car is running safely.
