Hi,,added a scoobysport rear box to my99 a couple of months ago. it was silver now very black inside,,doesn't that mean the cas running very rich.
What should I do??

Dave,
I've got a ScoobySport back-box on an MY99 as well...Yup the inside goes black/grey. You obviously only notice it coz you can see inside, not like the original twin pea-shooter thing!

Is it a UK car? They run quite rich anyway which accounts for the coking up.

Nothing to worry about. Just means you have to clean it more often!

Mine's as black as a black thing inside...and the lower 120 degrees of the 'rim' (the turned in stainless steel bit at the end) also gets a load of black deposited on it within a week of cleaning it

Ok,
cheers for the reply,,just that it does seem very black.
It's going in for it's 6 monthly serice this week,,so maybe get them to reset the ecu aswell.
