Hi,

Is there any benefit in exchanging the oem shifter for a Prodrive or STI quickshift?

If there are people who can tell me about the pros & cons of this modification, i would like to hear from you
(I have a MY98)

THANXXX

Love the quickshift on my MY99 Type-R. Feels more positive. I would say its worth getting one. dunno if that helps or not

Thanx, do you have the STI or the Prodrive Quickshift, and did you install it yourself?

Seen this, thought i would post what i did, cheap and easy. Have got MOMO gear **** so i cut 1 in off gear lever to leave about 3/4 of an inch of thread. . Screwed new **** on,tightened allen keys up on MOMO ****, job done. Has reduced the throw between gear changes dramaitcaly for the best

Just fitted the B+M one on mine, together with a gaiter kit and MOMO **** - Feels FANTASTICO !

(On a 98 UK Turbo)

Took about 2 hrs to fit, including using my Dads garage (which has a pit) - the snapwasher at the bottom of the stick is the bugger !!

Well worth it in my view,

Mark
