Gruppe S Headers and up-pipe gaskets?
#1
Took the Gruppe S headers off the car at the weekend to cure a small leak where they bolt onto the block.
Noticed when seperating the headers from the up-pipe there was about a third of an inch gap bewteen the two and also the headers to up pipe gasket was the wrong size (standard gasket).
Think it was 2 inch in diameter, but the bore of the headers and up-pipe is 2.5?
Decided to make a gasket from some stuff I got from C+C Exhausts in Hillington, which is quite thick and looks like an old floor tile
Sealed well, but has started to blow today between the headers an up-pipe so looking to get some good gaskets.
Anyone got any recommendations please on where to get some?

Found these, Gruppe-S funily enough
These are similar to the OEM gaskets, but are beefed up to 5-ply instead of 3-ply at our request (Downpipe gasket is composite).
-Manifold to engine (x2)
-Manifold to uppipe
-Uppipe to Turbo
-Turbo to downpipe
-Downpipe to Exhaust (3")

The material you mention is no use at all with the manifold to up-pipe connection, there's too much heat and the material goes brittle very quickly and breaks up.
It's fine for joints after the downpipe though, as there is less heat there.
