Yes.

Only does it occaisionally. Always returns to its normal position evenually...with a bit of a "THONK"...

Never really annoyed me before as my old Audi Quattro Turbo did exactly the same....

Hi
Mine does the same (MY96).
You can adjust the pedal height by turning the the actuator rod at the pedal and also by adjusting the stop.
This cured it on my car but the down side is that the pedal height became too high for my liking, so I put it back to its original position and put up with the sticking

Gents,

I had this same problem on my MY96 and it was driving me crazy, up until tuesday, when Steve at Scoobysport managed to fix it with a little adjustment. Don't know what exactly he did but it's gone now! Give 'em a bell!

Unhappy

Yep, happened to me ONCE.
I was driving in wet shoes and foot slipped of the clutch with a big thud!
Clutch then would not return properly.

I drove like it for a day and then while investigating it I pulled the clutch pedal back up into place (this time a smaller thud)

It's been fine ever since.
