What exhaust is it?

The scoobymania system is 3' all the way through twin dump down pipe and 4' tailpipe which is cut at a slight angle.
Features include :
3" straight through system
polished 304 grade stainless steel
Single rolled-in tailpipe
Stunning looks and sound.

A friend of mine has been given a scooby exhaust from his mate that no longer wants it. It is in excellent condition but I don't know what it is. It is a complete system in stainless, including manifold. It looks like it's 3 inch straight through with a woppig 4 inch pipe! I think it might be a HKS?
Questions are
1. What is it?
2. Is it worth fitting to my MY98
3. Is is really going to annoy the neighbours and be loud!
4. Will it enhance my performance (of the car that is!)

Sounds either like a HKS hiper, or a HKS super dragger. Yes they are quite loud, but sound awesome. It will give a little more power, less turbo lag, and better throttle response.
Check out some of the parts suppliers on the SIDC home page some of them sell HKS gear and you might see a pic of one. They cost around £400.
Iv`e got the HKS hiper on my 98 STI4 type R, with the HKS de-cat downpipe.
i`ll send you a pic to your e-mail.

Well, seeing as you're going to give it to me...(The exhaust!)...I'd very much like to know, so any pictures would be great!
Unless of course, you've changed your mind and want to enjoy it for yourself!!
I'm still left wondering about the finish on that 4" Hiper-Dragger tail-pipe of Yosser's. If they're all the same, how do they pass "Construction & Use" rules about sharp edges being rolled to be 1.5 mm radius???
Cheers,
Squizz.
PS. Would an HKS downpipe and centre section mate to a Scoobysport backbox?

In a word..... No.
The HKS back boxes and centres are mutually exclusive as they follow a different path down the chassis and the bolt holes are in different places. If you buy an HKS system new, you will be sold the centre and back box. This I think is part of the reason they are so dear!
The HKS centre does bolt to a Standard downpipe and any aftermarket pipe that has a standard flange, so I guess it follows that you could mate a Scoobysport centre and back box to an HKS downpipe, just forget the HKS centre as they are back box specific.
HKS do 2 different exhausts for the Scoob and they are quite different in nature. I shall attempt to describe. Pictures are courtesy of
