Gearbox and clutch feel
#1
hi all
I am wondering how does the scooby gearbox and clutch meant to feel?
I have Quickshift, and it feels oh so notchy.. which is ok... but a couple of times the gears have felt 'stuck' and i have crunched them..
oh - and i do use the clutch
is this a common trait? I have a V reg 99MY.
I am wondering if it worth mentioning to my dealer...
i am wondering, coz I understand that theres alot more transmission in the 4wd than the other cars i have driven..
cheers

Hi sco
I recently removed my quickshift the GGR type
as it caused some transmission noise.
Sometimes when I hold the gear in say Fifth and push it harder there is a very faint whine or when a blip the throttle the same noise is there.
Rather than getting a knackered gear box, I removed it.
Because it was a after market not subaru approved it might affect your warranty if some probs do come up.

yep - noticed the very same noise...
it was fitted by subaru... so gonna ask the dealer tomorrow about it.
the car, when trying to remain at a constant, or slightly increasing speed, low speeds, off-boost, the car feels like it climbing a staircase of acceleration...
almost like I am trying to make people sick in the car..
its especially evident when cold...
i cant believe something is wrong with an 18 months old car
