Looking at upgrading to an HKS turbo and so I will need and external wastegate.

Problem is ................ what size to get!

Currently the sensible priced options are 35 or 38mm. Which would suit my purpose better. (Looking at fitting to a 2.5 US Sti block and running about 1.5 bar on custom exhaust with WI)?

Cheers!

Looks to me like the sort of set up that Lateral Performance would specialise in - I think
Might at least be worth giving Mark a ring - he knows more about 'non-standard' turbo set-ups that anyone I can think of.

Lateral will do you one as part of a kit, but Mark is the first to admit you can get them cheaper. For most people the 38 TiAL one will be fine, and a steal at $215 from Forced Performance in the US.

...but as most of us that have dealt with Mark know, he's actually quite happy to just offer advice rather than actually try to flog you something.
Which is what the recommendation was for, really

Is this for the HKS turbo that Keith has ?
Not sure that you are going with the best option here as that is only rated at 410bhp. No need to go external wastegate until you are looking for over 550 bhp IMHO.

Andy the turbo we are looking at IS one of Keiths but it is to go on a Pulsar (there is no way on this earth I am letting the 20G go) as we thought it might be good for the Pulsar (need to do some background reading on the turbo before it is bought).

Your thoughts on this please Andy!

Justr realised I specced a 2.5 US STI block as the base engine - OOOOOOOPS
