Wink

The MY98 PPP came with a Prodrive rear silencer, a Ramair filter element and the ECU, oh and some mintex brake pads front (and rear?). There were no intercooler hoses and such like with the MY98 pack.

At the time the 98 ppp received poor press reports with some cars reported to be even slower after it was fitted, some owners on the bulletin board and iwoc even asked for their money back and got it.

Saying this however, I tried a 98 terzo ppp before I bought my 98 car and it did have very good midrange torque which is where the ppp scores anyway, in everyday driveability. I'm sure coupled with a decent downpipe and system and induction kit the ppp ecu would make more difference than these mods with the std ecu but unfortunaltely Prodrive cant offer these mods as it makes the car technically illegal due to removal of cats. Unfortunaltely Prodrive dont sell the ppp98 ecu on it's own and you have to go for the full package.

A shame really as with 98 cars coming out of warranty soon it would be nice to be able to have the ecu on its own for 98 cars and earlier, Mike?

Does anybody know the difference between the MY98 & MY99 PPP.

I presume that the exhaust & hoses are the same but is ECU the same?

Also I think the MY98 came with a Ramair filter, is this the case?

Is the MY98 PPP still available?

Thanks

I heard the MY98 PPP was a bit of a waste of time. Prodrive got it right with the MY99 PPP.

Anyone whos got one care to comment?

I'm delighted with my 98 PPP (ecu only)- made a real difference - well worth the £350 2nd hand. Don't know about whether its worth £2K though.

Talking

No the MY00 PPP comes with ECU, Decat centre section, prodrive backbox and nifty blue intercooler piping.

Brakes and filter are not included as, according to prodrive the OEM filters available don't offer the required protection

Question

Thanks for the replies so far, but does anybody know if ECU from the different years are the same or not?

Anybody else with experience of the MY98 PPP care to comment, I am considering taking up Harj's special deal but am concerned about the negative comments about its performance.

Cheers

Anthony
