hi all, i have a blitz SUS induction kit on my MY97 UK Turbo, is it worth getting a mini scoop to replace the vent to feed in cold air more directly to the filter??? If it is where do i get one from?

Getting some extra cold air direct onto to the filter can never be a bad thing.
You can get them here Scooby Mania

As well as a mini scoop you should consider making some cold air feeds from the front grill to near the air filter. You should be able to buy lengths of flexible aluminium tubing from any good motor factors about 2.5 or 3 inch diameter. You only need a metre or so to get from the front grill to the air filter, along with a few cable ties.

I have fitted a scoop to the drivers side in place of the air vent. The one I have from ETS Racing was £45 delivered and primed. It blows air just in front of the cone on my induction kit.
I have also taken an aluminium hose from one of the openings under the indicator in the 3 slat bumper. This is fed up through to the innner wing and blows air into the same space.
The next mod is to use some aluminium sheet to shield the air intake from the heat of the engine.
This is the one from Derek at ETS (not my car though)
