I have a my00uk, with full decat, dawes and recntly fitted ind kit, (k&n) when I fitted the ind kit, it felt like I was getting fuel cut due to better breathing, however I've adjusted the dawes and sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't, it happens at the right time for fuel cut, but is very gently, not like it's said to be, is it posible to get a fuel cut situation, but it feels more like a high speed missfire?? it doesn't make the car want to stop, it's just like a miss.
Although I don't mind keep driving the car to set it up better, I'd like to know for sure if it's fuel cut, or something else, car drives brilliantly apart from this, all help and advice welcome.

Cheers.

Ron.

Fuel cut on WOT is V noticable - The car simply cuts the engine for a second - so you suddenly stop accelerating (feels like you've turned the ignition off) and then it returns a moment later - Not really like a mis-fire - as all cylinders stop at once -

Hope this helps

I know what he means though, I have had like a milder form of fuel cut. It was definately not as violent as the first time it happened, like a baby fuel cut. I have my doubts about these bloody air filters to be quite honest. I'm putting my standard one back on asap.

Trem, I've run an ITG panel filter for over a year - I only started getting fuel cut when I increased the boost with dawes - ECU cuts when the boost is too high

I've even removed the resonator from mine......

See ya Sunday,

Mark

PS - Don't forget that boost can be higher on COLD days...

Aye, what I meant was induction filters, I'm gonna whack me standard air box back on and get an ITG panel filter.

Well, I dunno, I gave it a good blast this evening, nice and cold too!! No problem, maybe the dawes was set just a very small bit under max boost, so when it hit the fuel cut it was gentle and not brutal, seems ok now though!!
