Question

I've seen a lot of posts, and stuff on SIDC which says have the oil level halfway between the marks on the dipstick to stop the actuator solenoid getting gummed.

My question is, is this likely to cause any oil pressure / temperature problems 'cos there's less oil circulating? I'm not doubting the wisdom, just curious.

Exclamation

The problem was actually introduced when after servicing, the oil level was too high!!

It's an offical Subaru fix to not over fill with oil when changing the oil!!!

Hope this helps
Andy

Forgive my ignorance but are the marks the L and F (low and full?)or the two holes in the end of the dipstick, cause if it's the latter than my oil is very low!
