Is it possible to get the prodrive ECU from Europe?
#1
There has been a few posts that I seem to remember that dealers from averseas can order the Prodrive ECU on its own and not as part of the PPP.
Can anyone confirm that this is correct. I am not worried about the warrenty as my car is now 3 years old and I have the exhuast and downpipe mods, so all I need is the PPP ECU.

You can only order the complete package...2nd hand is the only way to get ecu by itself.
You can order the PPP direct from Prodrive in Europe though

Does anyone know what Prodrive charge for the full pack for ordere originated in Europe? If it is much cheaper than what they charge to install it themselves in the UK it may be a cheaper option for UK owners.
chambjj,
Apparently the PPP pack for pre MY99 cars is not nearly as good as the later versions.

Morning guys
In some parts of Europe (and RoW) we do not have the same excellent relationship with the importer that exists in the UK. Due to this I will occasionally make the decision to supply directly to an end-user. This is done on a one-off basis and the pricing is decided in the same way - depending on country, exchange rate, etc, etc. Generally I use the UK retail pricing as a start point, bearing in mind that export means I do not charge VAT but that the end-user will have to have the parts fitted, the fitted price SHOULD be fairly close to the UK fitted price.
Cheers

If you're out of warranty anyway, why not go for an EcuTek Tek2 which is freely available, similar price to a 2nd hand PPP ECU and will give you similar gains! (sorry Simon but you know it makes sense )

You can buy the complete PPP from Prodrive directly or a second hand PPP ECU from the "For sale" section here when available.
In first case contact Nick Wadeson in Prodrive his mail is nwadeson@prodrive.com, in second case bear in mind that for past "00 models PPP ECU is piggy back.
Hope this helps you
