How much wheat can I take of the flywheel from a STI 8
#2
I guess it depends on what type of field that you've driven through. Some fields have really sticky crops that are really tough to shift. I know that some wheat kernals can get stuck in my jumper and I need help from farmers or small goats to get rid of them. I suppose its lucky you've not got barley or corn in the engine, the barley would be fermenting by now and the corn, well, it never gets fully digested and usually comes out whole.
Try Kellogs for some advice, I know they helped me when I didn't receive a toy in my packet the other day.

Can't remeber exact weight m^y lightened stock flywheel came down too (posted it about 8 months ago); maybe 8kg? But the machine shop refused to remove any more on the grounds of safety.

Usually about 8.5 kg I was told when I asked, off a std OEM flywheel.
Some 6kg flywheels out there, but IIRC some people / most people have issues with launch on very light flywheels.

I could easily be wrong here but the STi 7/8 flywheel may start out at around 8.5kgs. This came from a supplier of billet flywheels for the 6spd box / clutch which, apparently, are not the same as for the 5spd. Info could of course be rubbish as I have not put one on the scales
