Question

Mintex have supplied the second set of rear pads for the MY99 that don't fit, this is after EBC tried and failed, claiming that the MY99 came with two or three different rear calipers AND disc sizes???

Has anyone fitted higher (than OE) spec pads to the rear of a MY99/00?? if so which ones, and do you have the part number??

hi Gary
MY99/MY00 came with two different calipers as far as I know because at brands I found out that my cars rear brakes where different from everyone else's in there!! tyre northhampton could not find any rear pads that could fit not even in their big brake book thingy .

if you look at your pads you will find that they have 1 lug (peg ) to fit the calipers while I bit the ones sent to you by mintex and EBC had 2 lugs ( fork type of shape ) !!!

the good news is you can get them no problem from falkland performance ( I don't know the part number though) if the description above is correct just mention my name and they will know which one it is.
the bad news is they are £99 for the mintex 1155 material!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this helps

Sam/Gary

there is only one pad shape for the 99/00 rears. In fact, the STi two excepted, there are only two rear pad shapes. Pre 99 and post 99. 2 ears pre 99. 1 large ear post 99.

The 99/00 pads are expensive due to the limited number of callipers in circulation. Ferrodo and Mintex both make pads for them. Pagid have them in production.

Hi Gary

Sorry mate, no part number. Try Questmead, they are the distributors.
