Boost pressure
#1
Can anybody please help. I have an Sti3 Vltd scooby which has a boost pressure gauge that reads on full boost 1kg/cm squared. Is this about right. How would it read in Psi.

OK, I'm going to ask the *stupid* question; how do I convert between bar, kg/cm and PSI? And is 1 bar the same as 1 kg/cm squared?
I've a standard MY00 (at the moment!) with the STi style Lamco guage. I get 1 bar held & 1.1 peak.
Thanks
Richard

Great site, cheers blackscooby. So at 14.2 psi is my sti3 vltd running low on boost. I have just changed the exhaust back from a straight through system with a 4.5 inch tailpipe (the wife said it was tooooo loud, it was great) back to the standard sti pipe. Could this have an impact on the boost or even confuse the ecu. As far as i am aware no setting changes were made when the free flow exhaust was installed. I am now on the look out for a new back box ( this one is just to quiet). Magnex could be the one.
Any thoughts or opinions appreciated
